Sterling Silver, 22K gold, Australian Boulder Opal.  This is a really unique opal, the brown Ironstone is intersected with bands of opal that has white, blues and greens.  With my saturn like rings of silver and gold around the setting, it makes for a bold statement that celebrates this unusual stone!  The stone setting itself measures 1-3/8" wide by 1".  It sits on top of my unique "U" shaped ring shank that hugs your finger so the ring will not flop back and forth on your finger! This sculptural shank is asymmetric, narrow on one side wider on the other. The band is 12MM (1/2") wide at the bottom.
