ABOUT ELAINE RADER'S JOURNEY.....
I was born and raised on Riverside Drive in New York City, by two wonderful parents, Edith and Paul Rader. My father was a professional artist and surrounded me with artistic expression. I found my first love in the art of dance and was fortunate to have trained at Juilliard and then the School of American Ballet, the New York City Ballet Company's school, where I was introduced to the rigors and disciplines of competitive dance.
Taking a break from the artistic world, landed me in Miami and in the banking industry where I soon found myself searching again for a creative outlet. I found creating my jewelry and nurturing this talent required the solace of nature that I found in the mountains of North Georgia where I now live. I might mention that I also enjoy time in the mysterious character land of Mississippi and New Orleans which now, also influences my work.
As to the future of my craft, I am presently narrowing my art show venues and beginning to sell in the world of the on-line market, which is giving me more time to create. I have also ventured into the world of teaching, and one day hope to have my own teaching studio in the mountains.
Thank you for your support as I continue my journey !
