Sterling silver, 22K gold, faceted amethyst.  This is a gorgeous unusual cut that is called a Tavenier Cut.  It is a pale pink/purple amethyst that glows from its thick center and sits on top of my unique "U" shaped ring shank that hugs your finger so the ring will not flop back and forth!  This sculptural shank is asymmetric, narrow on one side wider on the other.
